Attention Applicants: The Resident Licensing and Resident Licensing Renewal applications are temporarily unavailable. We anticipate that these will be made available again by the close of the business day. We apologize for the inconvenience.

Attention Illinois Applicants: Effective 2:30 p.m. on July 16, 2010, Illinois electronic licensing applications through NIPR (RL, RLR, NRL, NRR) were temporarily suspended to prepare for system conversion. Electronic licensing through NIPR will be made available on Monday, August 2, 2010. Resident producers whose renewals fall between the period of 7/16/10 to 8/2/10 must apply by paper to the Illinois Department of Insurance.

Attention Maryland Residents - When entering license number on NIPR applications, please insert the prefix (alpha characters). Example RPI 9998989 (please include the space).

Effective 8/1/2010 the NJDOBI will no longer print and mail licenses to Insurance Producers and Public Adjusters. Licensees will print their own licenses via SBS CONNECT.

  • SBS CONNECT is a service offered by the NAIC. SBS CONNECT allows one free license print and sends an e-mail notification to Insurance Producers and Public Adjusters upon license issuance, renewal, and when various changes are made to an insurance producer license.
  • Please wait 24 hours after a transaction is approved by the New Jersey Department of Banking and Insurance to print the license, as that period of time is required to populate data fields. These transactions include: license issuance; license renewal; changes to lines of authority; address change; name change; expiration date; etc.

Idaho applicants: Please do not attempt to apply for, renew or amend an application for the license classes Independent Adjuster, Resident Public Adjuster or Non-Resident Public Adjuster. At this time, Idaho is no longer offering these classes electronically through NIPR. Please contact the ID DOI for alternative instructions for licensing of these classes. If you do attempt to submit application for any of these three classes through NIPR, you will be lead through the entire application only to receive an error message at the end. We expect these classes to be offered again through NIPR later in the year.
