State Specific Individual Requirements for Initial Application

Every individual applicant for a Maine non-resident license must meet the following requirements:

  • Background question documentation can be submitted via the NIPR Attachment Warehouse at: https://pdb.nipr.com/docMgmt/main.html.
  • Reinstatements of inactive licenses that are not in revoked status are allowed to reinstate any time after the line of authority status date.
  • Reinstatement applicants that have status reason code of revoked cannot apply for ANY license class until 1 year after status date of Line of Authority.
  • FINRA CRD# is required if individual is applying for a variable license.
  • Amendments of license are allowed for applicants that are not in revoked status. If any license or LOA is in revoked status, the applicant must wait one year after revocation status date to apply for ANY new line.

State Specific Business Entity Requirements for Initial Application

Every business entity applicant for a Maine non-resident license must meet the following requirements:

  • Background question documentation can be submitted via the NIPR Attachment Warehouse at: https://pdb.nipr.com/docMgmt/main.html.
  • Reinstatements of inactive licenses that are not in revoked status are allowed to reinstate any time after the line of authority status date.
  • Reinstatement applicants that have status reason code of revoked cannot apply for ANY license class until 1 year after status date of Line of Authority.
  • Each DRLP listed on the application must be actively licensed with any LOA in the state of Maine.
  • DRLPs may have either an active Non-resident or Resident Maine license.
  • All business entities must have at least one DRLP.
  • Amendments of license are allowed for applicants that are not in revoked status. If any license or LOA is in revoked status, the applicant must wait one year after revocation status date to apply for ANY new line.
