STATE SPECIFIC REQUIREMENTS
- Applicants must hold both Property and Casualty in their Resident state
to apply for Property and Casualty in Connecticut. Applicant
must apply for Property and Casualty simultaneously. If applicant
holds only Property or only Casualty in Resident state, applicant may not
apply for that line electronically.
- Variable Applicants: Must supply NASD CRD number on application.
- Business Entity Applicants: The Designated Licensed Responsible
Producer(s) must cumulatively hold all lines of authority listed on the
business entity application.
- State fees will be collected by NIPR (on behalf of CT) when a transaction
is declined according to CT business rules. Transaction fees and processing
fees will also apply. Violation of the following rules will result in a
decline response.
- Individual applicants - Applicant must be 18 years old or older as determined
from the applicant’s Date of Birth.
- Applicants must hold both Property and Casualty in their Resident state
to apply for Property and Casualty in Connecticut. Applicant
must apply for Property and Casualty simultaneously. If applicant
holds only Property or only Casualty in Resident state, applicant may not
apply for that line electronically.
- The DRLP must be licensed in CT, as either a resident or non-resident
producer.
- Applicants with inactive CT resident licenses will be reviewed by the
state.
- CT Inactive non resident reinstatement applicants that have the following
status reason codes will be reviewed by the state
- Revocation
- Do Not Re-License
- CT inactive non resident reinstatement applicants that have been inactive
for less than one year and have the following status reason codes may not
reinstate – must late renew through NRR.
- CT inactive non resident reinstatement applicants that have been inactive
for more than one year past expiration date and have the following status
reason codes may reinstate with the following status codes:
- CT reinstatements are allowed at any time for inactive
resident and non resident licenses that do not have the following status
reasons
- Non Renewal
- Revocation
- Do Not Re-License
